Amarillo Golfer Will Compete in Korn Ferry Tour Event
Roughly seven months ago, Amarillo got some incredible news. We've long had some of the top-rated golf courses in the region, but never did we believe something like this would come to town.
Back in June 2025, it was announced that Amarillo would be getting a stop on the Korn Ferry tour, the feeder tour to the PGA. Many of the PGA's top golfers, such as world number one Scottie Scheffler, have worked their way to the PGA through this tour.

The OccuNet Classic In Amarillo
To freshen your memory, the OccuNet Classic is set to roll through Amarillo on June 11-14. The tournament will be held over four days at the La Paloma Golf Course at Tascosa Golf Club, and will feature all the up-and-coming talents, along with some golfers who used to be on the PGA Tour, looking to earn their card back.
Tickets for the event aren't quite available yet, but are supposed to go on sale this spring.
One Amarillo Golfer Will Compete In The Event
The Michelob Ultra Men's City Championship has long been the premier local tournament in Amarillo. It's been around since 1926, and one of the winners, Ryan Palmer, went on to a very successful pro career.
The winner of this year's Michelob Ultra Men's City Championship will earn the coveted sponsor's exemption. There are only two of them for the entire tourney, and one of them will go to someone in Amarillo. They'll be included in the 156-player field and have a shot to impress.
More details on this will become available once the Michelob Ultra Men's City Championship concludes play.
