Holiday Drive-In Night: Zootropolis 2 & Elf Coming to Amarillo

With the holidays fast approaching in Amarillo, we're all looking for holiday-themed things to do or attend. Yes, there will be all the Christmas lights around town that you can drive around and see, along with all the different holiday events that will pop up.

Most of those events are obviously very family-friendly, but sometimes they won't hold the attention of the kiddos. So what is there that can both keep their attention, give you that holiday vibe you're seeking, and have the kids thinking it's the coolest night ever?

Tascosa Drive-In To The Rescue

Nothing is cooler to the kids than a night at the drive-in. A chance to just sit in the car, bed of a truck, or back end of an SUV and watch a movie on a screen that seems larger than life, while snacking away on whatever their little hearts desire.

For the adults, they're not as worried about wrangling the little ones if they can't sit still through the movie. Furthermore, it's one of the most affordable ways to catch a flick...but remember, the drive-in always shows you TWO movies, and as the holiday season approaches, they've put a bit of a spin on that second movie.

A Holiday Classic After A New Release

One movie all the kids are talking about, well, at least my almost 4-year-old, is the Zootopia sequel, 'Zootropolis 2'. She won't stop talking about how bad she wants to see it, so we know we're going to have to take her. But it's the holidays, and we want to be engrossed in those holiday flicks. Here comes the win-win.

They're pairing up 'Zootropolis 2' with the classic 'Elf'. Yes, the Will Ferrell gem will play immediately following 'Zootropolis 2', and I couldn't be more excited for it if I were Buddy the Elf myself. On December 5th and 6th, you'll be able to catch both movies for less than the price of one at the traditional movie theatre. So get out and enjoy the season!
