Miranda Lambert's always been a big advocate for shelter pet welfare and animal rights, but she's never done something quite like this.

On the heels of releasing her Postcards From Texas album last Friday (Sept. 13), the singer hopped on social media to reveal that she's planning a benefit show, called Music for Mutts, to celebrate her MuttNation Foundation's 15th anniversary.

Featuring sets from Hardy, Lukas Nelson and Jake Worthington — plus a few yet-to-be-revealed surprise guests — the show will raise money to support MuttNation's mission of shelter pet welfare, animal rights awareness and spay and neuter projects.

Leading up to the concert itself, Lambert and MuttNation are also hosting a series of adoption events in Nashville, including a free event at the city's Ascend Park on the afternoon before the show.

"If you're thinking about adding a four-legged member to your family, you need to be there between 4-6PM," Lambert says in a statement. "And anyone who knows anything about me knows that helping shelter pets is what I use my voice for when I'm not singing, so you can bet I'll be singing and talking all night long! Hope to see you there!"

Lambert's upcoming benefit concert follows a couple of special album release events, including a surprise show that she played on Sunday (Sept. 15) at her Casa Rosa bar in downtown Nashville.

The Music for Mutts event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater. For ticketing information, go here.
