Jimmie Allen has released a new video for his latest single, "Make Me Want To," and the fantasy-filled clip borrows from elements of some of his favorite films.

Instead of a typical love story or heartbreak music video, Allen opted for a  lighthearted clip that references The Notebook, Disney and Harry Potter. The "Make Me Want To" music video features Allen casting spells with a wand straight out of the Potter franchise, a literal fairy godmother from Cinderella and an iconic scene straight out of The Notebook.

Allen debuted the clip in an unusual fashion — by premiering it on the CMT billboard in New York's Times Square.

“I’m a huge fan of Disney, Harry Potter and The Notebook. I wanted to create a video that showcased my love for all three,” Allen shares with CMT. “I feel like authenticity is celebrated today more than ever so with this video I really wanted to highlight my quirky side.”

Jimmie Allen's Performance of "Make Me Want To" Is So Much Fun

The video itself was shot in Nashville and a Nashville suburb called Franklin, with the concept coming from Allen himself. Justin Nolan Key directed the video, helping create the special effects and storyline that Allen envisioned.

“I love that the video focuses on the action and the music is in the background,” Allen explains. “Enjoy Chapter 1! This is the first of a five-part music video collection. Thanks to everyone for going on this journey with me and stay tuned for more!”

Allen co-wrote "Make Me Want To" alongside Paul Sikes and Jennifer Denmark. This single release follows up his debut No. 1 single "Best Shot." Allen's burgeoning success is why Taste of Country chose him as the latest of our 2019 RISERS.

This summer, Allen is hitting the road supporting Chris Young on his Raised On Country Tour, and he'll also support Rascal Flatts on select dates of their Summer Playlist Tour.
