Who would have thought that when we started 2020 that not only would we have new words in our vocabulary. You know like social distancing, covid, maskne. We also had to deal with new conditions too.

Here we are in October. The year of constant change that is 2020 has somehow found a way to make it this far. That, of course, means that the Holiday's are just around the corner. How will they be different this year?

They knew what they were doing when they named it.

As you get older the idea of checking your blood pressure may become more of a reality for you. I never really knew what normal blood pressure really was. I would have to ask every time. Now I could recite the range the doctors look for.

So every July we head to Downtown Amarillo. Our goal is to win a new Harley and party the night away. The Harley Party for the Downtown Women's Center is a thing. I have been there a few years. Heck, supporting Family Support Services after the year they have had. We are all in.

You know it is important to relax. If you think back and reflect on all that we have faced in 2020 you know this is true. You need to just calm down. If you can master that you will have many health benefits.

While 2020 has left a lot of us angry, stressed, and disappointed; there are those among us who have been trying to make the most of it.

If this year has taught us anything it is that we can finally be cleaner. We have been sanitizing things. We have been washing our sheets more. We are keeping those masks clean. Overall we want everything cleaner. We are doing a good job.

Things have changed a lot from the days when I was a kiddo. I remember how much I loved playing Pac Man at the arcade. Oh and I was getting pretty good at it. I never had Atari at my house. I would have to go to my best friends house if I wanted to play Pitfall, centipede or Pac Man.

It happens. You make plans to go grab a few drinks with your girlfriends after work. You meet up at Bubba's 33 and think about the last time you girls all got together. This was a good time because it's one of your friends birthday's. So a little celebrating on the Thursday night.

Technology is great but with it comes problems we never seemed to have twenty years ago. Would you ever have thought that we would spend so much time on our phones? Or on our computers?

Can I say that it really does suck to grow older. Though I will say that it sure beats the alternative. So a few years ago I took a big step and planned my funeral. I know. I hate to think about that. It was a nice thing to do for my daughter.
