With the acquisition of Warner Bros., Paramount gains control of a ton of your favorite characters.

It has been a month since the Popeyes on Paramount here in Amarillo abruptly closed. It all started with again another fire. That fire caused a lot of damage and spoiled food. So it made sense that they were going to be closed.

When you drive around Amarillo you begin to notice a few things. We like our food and we love our coffee. I mean we have so many great places to eat. We also have plenty of places to stop and get our fill of whatever grande, heavy cream, iced, whatever we want.

There was a time and a place for everything in Amarillo. There was a time when Amarillo had a place where those who didn't fit in those places that liked to two-step had a place they could go. This place was called SRO. Just walking through those doors was an experience.

We recently asked the question about the Popeyes on Paramount Blvd here in Amarillo. We wanted to know what happened to cause them to close early on Sunday. As of this story, they are still closed.

I was driving around Amarillo, like I do a lot when I noticed this. Normally when I drive down Olsen/Paramount everything is status quo. At least it has been for a while. I noticed some activity recently that was unexpected.

It seems each and every month our paychecks don't seem to go as far as they once did. If we have any money left over it doesn't seem like much. When that happens we either have to cut back on things we love or get another job. Sometimes we have to do both.

If you grew up in the nineties and you hear something mentioned about Waco, TX, there may be one thing that comes to your mind: the Branch Davidians and David Koresh. Even living in Texas that is what comes to mind first when I hear anything about Waco.

I know Amarillo is getting bigger. With the bigger size comes more and more issues we see in our city. It just seems that we are seeing a lot at a faster rate. What is going on in Amarillo.

Being told things like "at least 3 months" is like being in the movie The Money Pit.

Starting in 2018 Spike TV is going to be getting a face-lift by changing to the Paramount Network. To celebrate they will be airing a six-part miniseries titled, Waco.
