We have had a rough past year or so. In life things have been maybe not the easiest. As we are now getting back to a bit of a normal life. We are getting to go out and do fun stuff again and that makes us happy.
When the Thompson Park pool closed at the end of the 2018 season, there was a lot of uncertainty in whether or not the north-side would see a new pool built.
What are your favorite memories of summer? Is it a special vacation you got to take? Maybe it was hanging out with your friends. Well I can bet you have many memories that included a swimming pool.
Every year the Amarillo Zoo sets aside a day to clean-up the creek and shoreline around the Thompson Park lakes. This is a big endeavor and they need all the help they can get. The more help, the quicker the clean-up goes. If you are looking for a volunteer project to help make one of our city parks more beautiful, then mark your calendars for Clean-Up Day.
