All summer long, the Amarillo Zoo has dedicated each week to a different camp for children ages 6-12.  Next week they will have the opportunity to discover the world of reptiles and amphibians.

One thing that I have learned over the years is that kids love animals.  All kinds!   The Amarillo Zoo is a perfect place for a kid to spend his/her summer, especially if it is up close to the animals.  The zoo wants to teach children about the different animals and give them experiences they won't soon forget.

Next week, July 22-26, the Amarillo Zoo is hosting Rockin' Reptiles and Awesome Amphibians camp.  The kids will get to find out more about our scaly and slimy friends!

They will learn that frogs and toads are incredibly important to the world. They will also explore snakes and learn why they are not as scary as they seem, the differences between turtles and tortoises, and much more!

If you are interested in letting your child participate in this scaly camp, call 381-5605.  There is a limited amount of space so get your kid signed up soon!
