Kid Rock Had Dinner at the White House With Sarah Palin, Ted Nugent [PICTURES]

Kid Rock was among a group of high-profile guests invited for dinner at the White House on Wednesday night (April 19). Others in the party included former Alaska Gov. (and former Republican vice president nominee) Sarah Palin and rocker Ted Nugent.

Photos posted to Palin’s official Facebook page show Rock, Palin and Nugent inside the White House and in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump. In one photo, which readers can see above, the three are goofily posing in front of a photo of Hillary Clinton; in another, Trump is seated at his desk in the Oval Office and looking over some papers as Rock, Palin and Nugent look on.

In addition to Rock, Palin and Nugent, Wednesday night’s White House guests included Shemane Deziel, Nugent’s wife, and Audrey Berry, Rock’s fiancee. A photo posted to Twitter by Christina Wilkie, who covers Trump for the Huffington Post, shows the five of them standing next to Trump, who is seated at his desk in the Oval Office, and smiling.

Country Music’s Most Political Artists

According to a blog post from Nugent for, among the topics discussed during Rock, Nugent and Palin’s time at the White House were “various quality of life issues and how entrenched status quo political correctness has wrecked everything it has touched and how [Trump’s] administration is focused and dedicated to get back to the U.S. Constitutional basics of government of, by and for the people.” Additionally, Nugent writes, they “discussed specifically the counterproductive follies of the Endangered Species Act and the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, BLM and other out of control bureaucracies.”

In early 2016, before each political party’s nominations for the year’s presidential election had been announced, Rock admitted that he was “digging Trump” and thought he would earn the Republican Party’s nomination. He also called the entrepreneur’s presidential campaign “entertaining as s–t.”

“Has that much f–king changed when anyone’s in office, whether it’s been a Republican or a Democrat in office, in our lifetime, anyway?” Rock said at the time, adding with a laugh, “I haven’t really seen this big, like, f–king change. Obviously some people f–ked up.”

Rock also said that, in his opinion, the United States needs a breath of fresh air and a president who will do something other than the norm.

“My feeling,” Rock explained: “Let the motherf–king business guy run it like a f–king business.”

In late 2016, Rock began selling a line of merchandise in support of Trump’s then-recent election victory.
