Rodney Atkins Recommends You ‘Take A Back Road’ This Weekend [VIDEO]

Turn off the GPS and find yourself a back road this weekend.  There are some beautiful roads here at the top of Texas.  I really enjoy the drive to Canadian. Taking a quick day-trip is good for you and your family.  Pack a picnic and pick a local destination.  I remember growing up we couldn't afford a big summer vacation but, my Mom would pack a supersize picnic-there were 10 kids and 1 big dog-so we'd head out of the city-I was raised in Chicago-and drive southwest out to the undiscovered land known as the suburbs.  I guess you could say I was born in Illinois, but moved home to Texas.  I love these wide open spaces and the people that live under the Amarillo sky.
