Severe weather tore across the Birmingham Alabama area early Monday morning. The storms have killed at least two people and injured more than 100.

Last April this area was hit hard by a tornado killing 240 people. This morning a possible tornado ripped through the area blowing the windows out of cars and tearing the roofs off of houses.

"Some roads are impassable, there are a number of county roads where you have either debris down, trees down, damage from homes," said Yasamie Richardson, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Emergency Management Agency.

The two people killed in the storm were a 16 year old from Clay and an 82 year old man from Oak Grove. Injuries reported were ranging from scratches and bruises to broken bones.
