New Braunfels

According to Money, New Braunfels is one of the great places to live in the United States.

Its German heritage makes it a great place to live.  New Braunfels is located between Austin and San Antonio.   It's a small city located on the Comal River, with a ton of history and charm.

You can also find many things to do in this Texas city.  Float the river with your friends, and have a blast with the family as you splash, swim, and fly down one of those fun water slides at Schlitterbahn. Plus, Schlitterbahn's lazy river is an actual river.

A sausage celebration is held each year, Wurstfest, with 10 days of food, music, dancing, a carnival, beer, and a ton of German fun.

Then there's the nightlife in New Braunfels, Gruene Hall is Texas' Oldest Dance Hall and has been open since 1878.   Plus, Naeglin's Bakery is the oldest bakery in Texas.

The population of New Braunfels is around 104,000.  The average price of a home in New Braunfels is $389,000 and rent costs just under $1500.

Plus, many Texans make it a point to visit New Braunfels regularly because it is a great place to vacation and an even better place to live.
