Abby Anderson received the news most artists only dream about when she was asked to make her Grand Ole Opry debut last week. The "Make Him Wait" singer tearfully accepted the offer during an emotional phone call.

Anderson's team captured the sweet moment on video, while a man on the other line asks the singer if she's interested in stepping foot in the famed circle to play a few songs. She's speechless and visibly emotional in the clip.

"I gotta be honest with ya," she says tearfully, pausing after a few seconds of silence as she tries to pull herself together. "I would be honored to, but I don't feel like I should. Really? Thank you. Wow. I really appreciate that. That's an honor to even be asked, so thank you."

In a post on Instagram, Anderson revealed that she'll be making her Grand Ole Opry debut on Sept. 8 and tickets are currently available for purchase.

"Honored and humbled to say that today I was asked to make my Grand Ole Opry debut Saturday September 8th," she captioned the clip. "THANK YOU THANK YOU @opry FOR THE BEST CRY I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Tickets are available on the opry website!! www.opry.com."

Anderson's 2018 is shaping up to be career-defining. Shortly after releasing her debut single to country radio, the singer announced that she'll be touring with Brett Eldredge later this year, performing ahead of Eldredge's headlining set each night.

"I am so excited to have Abby join the Long Way Tour this fall," Eldredge said in a press release. "She has a voice that grabs you by the heart and demands you to listen. It’s well beyond her years and I cannot wait to hear that golden voice every night."

The fall run of the tour will kick off on Sept. 13 in Denver, and is scheduled to go through October, with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks. Devin Dawson will also serve as a special guest throughout the 14-city trek.
