This weekend is about honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. However, this is one story that I didn't want to pass up because this was an immense accomplishment of one of Amarillo's very own.
With the end of another school year here it is time to find fun things to do. The kiddos will be looking for ways to celebrate. We, as parents, want to also find a way that is not going to break our budget.
Why do people suck so much? In the "come on Amarillo, you can do better" file this one as something that just makes me mad. You don't mess with someone's tips. They work hard for this money.
Unfortunately, there are those who believe that Wayside is a ghost town. I'm sure if you asked the 30 or so people who live there, they'll say otherwise.
I have driven by this area a thousand times. I have wished and hoped for Sprouts to move into this location, but alas, that's not going to happen. However, I have found what is going into the old Bealls building.
If you are looking to eat healthy sure there are places where you can pick up a salad. The problem is that they get old pretty darn fast. So finding healthy ways to eat with some variety can be a challenge.
It's not news that there is a formula shortage facing Amarillo and all of the US. I have been dealing with this since early February. First, there was a minor shortage but then the Similac recall happened and all hell broke loose.
