Amarillo 19-Year-Old Arrested After Being Caught With Over $12,000 Worth of Illegal Drugs
Chase Perry Carpenter was pulled over by a Randall County Sheriff on Wednesday, August 31st.
The sheriff had been called out to Arden Road for possible illegal drug activity. He stopped Carpenter's vehicle as he was leaving the Southgate Mobile Park. Carpenter refused to let the sheriff search his vehicle, so a K-9 unit was called.
After the dog reacted to narcotics in the vehicle, police were able to search it. That's when they found the mother load - 2.85 grams of cocaine, 35.8 grams of marijuana, .08 grams of hashish, and 2021 Xanax pills.They also found a hand gun and a large amount of cash.
The Randall County Sheriff's Office said that the current street price of the Xanax alone would be $12,126.
Carpenter was booked into the Randall County Jail, but he was released on bond. He was charged with three counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, one count of possession of marijuana, Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon, and two traffic violations.
Chase Perry Carpenter is only 19 years old.
