It's hard to believe that 15 years ago, the Twin Towers were taken down in the worst terror attack the US has ever seen. Even 15 years later, I think we all remember where we were when the news broke that the towers had been struck.

Many brave mothers, brothers, sisters, fathers, cousins, uncles, aunts, daughters, sons, and friends were lost that day. Many first responders were killed. It was a horrible, tragic event that left many families heartbroken.

This year, Amarillo is coming together to honor those fallen heroes. The Amarillo Police Department, Potter and Randall County Sheriff's offices, Amarillo Fire Department, and the Department of Public Safety invite you and your family to come pay tribute.

The ceremony will be held the morning of September 11th in front of City Hall.

The program will start around 8:30 a.m. Guests will be gathering around the south side of City Hall in front of the flag poles.  Click here to read more.
