APD Looking For Suspect Who Shot Juvenile

An afternoon shooting has landed an east-side juvenile in the hospital. Amarillo Police Department officers received a call around 3:30pm to a reported shooting at an apartment in the 2500 block of South Spring Street. The apartment complex is located near Oakdale Elementary School.

The called told police that a male, white or Hispanic, entered the apartment, shot one time, and fled the scene on foot. He is described as wearing a red shirt. The juvenile female at the apartment was hit by the bullet, but luckily was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
