Canyon High Lady Eagles Are Headed To State (Again)

The Lady Eagles are at it again! They are headed to San Antonio for the 5A basketball State Championship on Tuesday.

Following their regional championship win Saturday over No. 4 Wichita Falls, the Lady Eagles will take their incredible 33-1 record and head to San Antonio to show everyone what they got.

They will take on Crosby (30-7) on Thursday evening for the state semi-finals.  If they advance (which they will) over Crosby, they will be headed to state finals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Also, you can come show your Eagle pride off by coming to the "State Send-Off" Tuesday morning.

The girls will be taking this route:

• Canyon High School- 8:30
• Reeves Hinger - 8:35
• Canyon JHS – arrive at 8:35 a.m.
• Canyon Intermediate – arrive at 8:40 a.m.
• Courthouse Square – arrive at 8:45 a.m. (make a lap around the square)
• Crestview Elementary – arrive at 8:55 a.m.
• Lakeview Elementary – arrive at 9:05 a.m.

If they win, this will be the Lady Eagles' 18th state championship and Coach Joe Lombard's 1,259th win.
