Different Ways To Contribute To The Balderas Family
As we all know, the Balderas family has suffered a great loss. The wonderful people of Amarillo and across the country are coming together to help. If you are wanting to help as well, there are tons of ways to do so.
The nation was shocked when news of the tragic accident spread. The Balderas family wanted to take care of a rodent problem that ended in tragedy. The latest update according to a GoFundMe page, created for the family:
As of right now three of the Balderas kids are doing real well. Still some medical issues with dad and another child. Mom is in a sedated state. She needs much continued prayers . She is in critical condition .
With all of them being in the hospital and the loss of 4 children, the family could use some help. Here are a few different ways you can get involved.

The Amarillo National Bank has set up a 'Balderas Family Benefit Fund.' You can stop by any bank location or give them a call for more information at 806-378-8200.
Clothing and household items can be donated at St. Laurence Catholic Church. You can stop by the church at 2300 N. Spring street or call them at 806-383-2261. The items need are:
- Teen girl tops, sizes medium and large
- Young/teen boy shirts, size medium
- Girls shoes, sizes 7, 8 and 10
- Boys shoes, sizes 10 1/2 and 11
Several businesses around town are also doing fund raisers for the family.
Lupitas Grill, 3221 Western, is inviting everyone out on Friday, January 6th. They will be donating 20% of all sales between 5-9pm to the Balderas family.
Fiesta Foods, SE 10th and Arthur, will match any donations made for the Balderas family up to $2,500 through January 31st.
Chicken Express, 404 Tascosa Rd, will donate 10% of their sales on Monday, January 9th to family.
