Elks Can Teach You Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About The Flag In An Hour On June 11th

They're primary colors of courage. The Red. The White. The Blue. The American flag flew proudly all over Amarillo and the nation on Memorial Day and it got me thinking:

I don't see the flag flying enough.  Some may argue that Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Veterans Day are  plenty of days to show our patriotism, but I think there needs to be more "spontaneous" patriotism.

June 11th is Flag Day and my hope is that more of us will stop and learn more about the history of the Star Spangled Banner and no better place than at the Elks Lodge here in Amarillo starting at 11:00 a.m.
