There have been some wonderful country duets in recent years. Collaborations between Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson come to mind, but these songs (and others like 'Highway Don't Care') take some serious coordination. Taste of Country's Billy Dukes explains how when two stars want to make magic, things can get political.
A famous example involving a Tracy Lawrence song epitomizes what can go wrong when record labels from all participating artists don't sign off on a duet. Timing is crucial, Dukes says.
