We have heard a lot recently about the outbreak of distemper in our area. Distemper is very dangerous and highly contagious for our dogs. Parvo is another dangerous disease for our four legged family members. With an outbreak of both recently we need to make sure our dogs are vaccinated.

It’s an easy fix. Take them to get their shots. Animal Management and Welfare is doing its part to help. They are working to make sure all of our dogs are protected. They are working to make the vaccinations available and even free. So if the cost has been keeping you from getting your dog vaccinated, there really is no excuse now.
This past weekend they kicked off their shot clinics. If you missed it this past Saturday you still have three more. So there really is no excuse. You love your dogs and want to make sure they live a long and healthy life. Do your part to protect them and keep the spread of distemper and parvo down.

If you can do something to help this outbreak from spreading this is the easiest thing for you. Nothing is worse than watching a poor defenseless dog die from either parvo or distemper. It is just awful. Unfortunately there has been a lot of this lately.
