**WIN TICKETS ALL WEEK AT 8:30AM ON 101.9 THE BULL**

It's almost that time again... for a huge group of Amarilloians to gather in a big ol' field off Whitaker and The Loop for a day of great country tunes. Homer's Backyard Ball 2017 is this weekend and it looks to be bigger and better than ever!

This year's 20th Hometown Reunion will feature a full day of live music from Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson, Cooder Graw, Casey Berry, Shotgun Rider, Scotty Alexander Band, The Jackson Tillman Band and more!

Along with the music, there will be a large cook-off competition with a $10,000 payout.

And yes, it is a giant party, but there is so much more than just the music. The Homer's Foundation's mission is to provide support through grants, fundraisers, and events to community organizations that provide financial assistance and services to area youth for disease research, life opportunities and physical or personal development. Thousands of children and their families have been impacted through the hard work of various Amarillo area charities. The volunteer base in the Texas Panhandle has the ability to make an enormous impact on our community. Everyone works together and believes in the greater good that comes from being active in charitable endeavors.

If you've been to the backyard ball in the past, there are a few rule changes this year to make it a more fun and safer experience for everyone. No outside food or drink will be permitted, that included alcohol. There will, however, but beverages and food available for purchase through the concession areas.

Tickets for this year's festival start at $40 plus fees. The event will start at 1pm and go through midnight on the field at 800 S. Whitaker Road, this Saturday.
