It was rough day for me. I had some things going on in my personal life on top of work stress, and I just wanted to check-out for an hour or two and unwind.

Usually this means I dig through my catalog of campy B movies, or binge watch something hosted by Joe Bob Briggs or Elvira. That day I wanted to watch the movie Dead Alive. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anywhere to stream.

It's one of my all time favorite movies. If you're into over-the-top comedy/horror and zombies, it's a must watch. It was directed by Peter Jackson, the same Peter Jackson that went on to reach international acclaim for the Lord of the Rings movies.

It has some of the most quotable, cheesy lines ever uttered on the silver screen. The gore is laughably over the top. The gross-out moments are hilariously disgusting.

This movie is also why I've never tried custard.

My wife, seeing my frustration, began tapping away on her phone. As I sat pouting staring blankly at the TV, suddenly Dead Alive appears on screen. Next to me, my wife proudly smiled at making the impossible possible.

Eventually she would disclose the secret to her successful search for my movie. YouTube.

If you can't find something that you're wanting to watch, go to YouTube. Then, once you have it pulled up on your phone, you can use the YouTube app on your smart TV to watch. I had no clue, and I view myself as a guy in-the-know when it comes to tech stuff.

My wife did sit and watch my gross-out zombie comedy, and even laughed at the Kung Fu priest and lawnmower scene.

Sharing moments like these, where one person demonstrates just how much they care and then to share in something beloved by your significant other, really helps strengthen the bond between you...even if it's a disgusting zombie movie.
