Software Upgrade Coming To Amarillo Environmental Health Department

The software upgrade at the City of Amarillo Environmental Health Department is supposed to begin on April 19, 2025. It will last through April 27. During this time, you might experience some minor inconveniences.

Fingers crossed that all goes well with this software update. The last time we heard about one of these in the news, it turned into an absolute nightmare at the Utility Billing Department.

Be Prepared For Anything During The Software Update

The last time there was a software update in the news, it was because of the headaches the Utility Billing Department was going through. During that time, payments weren't able to be processed.

Things got so bad that they couldn't process payments online, in person, or over the phone. At one point, the City quit saying it was an issue with the software update and started calling out the company responsible. It made for an interesting December 2022.

If you have any business with the Environmental Health Department later this month, keep in mind it will probably be best to just go do it in person. Hopefully, it won't last long.

Amarillo Landmarks: Negative Yelp Reviews

Yelp can be a strange and angry place. That's what I found out recently when I decided to sort the reviews by "lowest rating" first.

I was okay with the people upset over bad service and what not. But I came across a few reviews that, for lack of a better word, left me speechless in their scathing negative reviews on some of Amarillo's most iconic places. Prepare your self for plenty of head shaking and "I dunno" shrugs.
