When there is news about new places in Amarillo, we like to think we are pretty fast to find the information. Whether it is a new restaurant or business coming to town, we love to find it and share it with the city.

The same goes when it is a place that is closing. Although most of the time, that is not what we want to hear and share, we like to be on top of things in our city. In our staff meetings, we even joke about who among us would be the first to break a story if one of our own made local news.

What This Means for Blue Crane Bakery

I started reading, and sure enough, it was him. Charlie has talked several times about Blue Crane Bakery on the 6th, saying it was one of his and his wife's favorite places. Apparently, they are going to have a lot of Blue Crane Bakery in their future.

According to a post that recently came out, they are taking over the business.

We are excited to announce some upcoming changes at Blue Crane Bakery! First off, Chris and Donna will still be the owners of the bakery. But we will be handing over our everyday baking and front-of-house service to Brandon and Kendra Hardin as they pursue part of their dream of operating a bakery! This will help us out massively.

Keeping Secrets: How Charlie Kept Us in the Dark

Yes, Brandon is our very own Charlie. Charles is his middle name, so that is where that comes from. This is pretty cool. I still can't believe he managed to keep this from us! I’m sure he was betting on how long it would take for the team to spot the announcement

For the record, I saw the post one hour after it went live on their page. Wishing Charlie, er, Brandon, and Kendra all the best as they embark on this delicious new adventure.
