With the retirement and then passing of Alex Trebek Amarillo and the world lost a friend we turned to every evening. We lost the familiar face we turned to so we could see just how smart we were compared to the contestants. Since his passing, there have been a few different hosts.

The one thing that luckily hasn't changed is the show's love for Amarillo. Over the years we have been fortunate to see that wow moment. That time that we saw Amarillo mentioned one way or another.

Yes, I don't care who you are but a smile has to come to your face when Amarillo is mentioned. I moved here at a very young age and really didn't know much about Amarillo. I got a crash course that is for sure.

Of course, the first song I was introduced to was "Amarillo, By Morning" because why not? Over the years there have been plenty of songs that have mentioned Amarillo. I had that bragging right when I would talk to my friends back in my hometown of Chicago.

I learned about The Cadillac Ranch and The Big Texan. Both of those are pretty dang Amarillo. Don't forget about Palo Duro Canyon and Texas the Outdoor Musical. Amarillo has a lot to brag about and for their claim to fame.

That is why we have been on Jeopardy a time or two. That is why we continue to be a clue on Jeopardy. That is something that has not changed with a new host. We are thankful for that.

Every Time Jeopardy! Asked a Question About Amarillo

Amarillo might not be a bustling urban metropolis, but it most certainly is full of quirky characters, unexpected treasures, and historical gems that fly under the radar. It should really be no surprise that our fair Yellow City has popped up more than a few times on Jeopardy!

What's that? How many times is "more than a few times"? Well, take al look and see for yourself.
