
The Amarillo Subway Mystery Solved: What’s Really Taking Over the Wolflin Corner
One of the things we take notice of around Amarillo is our restaurants. We notice when a new one comes in and, of course, when one closes. We take comfort in knowing that when one shuts its doors, a new one ends up moving in.
That is the case with the Subway that used to be at Western and Wolflin. This location is right around the corner from Tascosa High School; when it closed, students lost a convenient walk-up lunch spot.

They closed their doors last July after a recent reopening from a remodel. Nobody expected them to reopen and then shut down, but that is what occurred. So that building was sitting empty for about nine months.
A Neighborhood Revitalization: Construction at Western and Wolflin
Fresh life is coming to the building soon. We started noticing work being done on the building, so that was some good news. It seemed to have people inside working for a while now.

Since the 'for lease' sign went up in October, this is the first movement we have seen so this could only mean good things. That answer was recently given to us as to what was moving in when a banner went up at that location.

Filling the Gap: From Subway to Noodle Corner
The launch of Noodle Corner is imminent. I couldn't find any information about it on social media yet, but the banner gave away a lot of information. We basically know what the menu will consist of: pho, ramen, and Thai. That says a lot.
The Tascosa Lunch Rush: A New Option for Students
So we know it is opening soon, and the kids and neighborhoods around Tascosa High School are about to have another option for food soon, as we get ready to welcome Noodle Corner to the area.
