Leave Your Mark: Buy a Brick at Rockrose Sports Park

I've made no secret of how excited I am for Rockrose Sports Park to open up in Amarillo. It's something we've needed for so long in this city, and I've only lived here for 5 1/2 years. I can't imagine how excited others must be who have lived here longer and played here as kids.

The multi-purpose facility gets closer and closer to completion with each day, and they're even ahead of schedule. The fact that at least one of my boys will get the chance to play at the facility before high school is exciting to me.

Leave Your Mark

As the construction continues, Kids, Inc. has launched a new campaign that will allow you to be a part of the complex for life. It's called "Leave Your Mark," and it will forever immortalize you, someone you respect, someone who helped you with the game, or simply a loved one.

So how do you leave your mark? It's a brick campaign, where you purchase a brick, send what you want written on the brick, they'll engrave it on there, then it'll be laid down as part of the complex. You'll be able to see all the bricks at the entrance to the complex.

How Much Does It Cost

There are four different price levels depending on the size of brick you want. The smallest and cheapest option is a normal-sized brick, 4x8, and that will run you $150 if you want text only on it. The next size up is an 8x8 that will set you back $350 for text only, but it will get you six lines of text you can write.

The next two options are reserved for custom logos. Maybe you want your business, or a team you coached or played on. The first option is a four 8x8 brick layout that will run you $1,500. The next one is the largest option, where you get nine 8x8 bricks that come together for your logo, and that has a price tag of $2,500.
