Ah yes, the glory years of high school. Those four wonderful years where you feel like you're on top of the world. You've reached the top of the food chain when it comes to mandatory education, and you feel untouchable.

You've got your group of friends, then there are all these different cliques around the school. Some you wish you were a part of, others you despise. Either way, you sit and wonder where they'll be in 10 years.

Graduation day comes, and life starts to move pretty fast in front of you. Some will go off to college, others will join the workforce. As those years click by, you start to think to yourself, "I wonder what so & so is doing these days."

Well, you'll get your chance to find out at the 10-year reunion, right? That's what people at Caprock High School thought, but it turns out, they haven't heard about that reunion. Maybe it's a thing of the past?

I remember when my high school put together its 10-year reunion. I was contacted by the planning committee, and I was actually asked to DJ the reunion since I had been doing it at a club in Fort Collins for a bit. I would've accepted the invitation to do so, but I already had plans in place that were unbreakable.

The reunion happened, and about 50 people attended from what I heard. Keep in mind, I had a graduating class of 655 people. Our reunion happened before the huge social media boom, so this was a chance for everyone to get back together and reminisce, see who was doing what in life, and just have a good time.

As the years have gone on, it seems the old-fashioned reunions are being replaced by keeping tabs on whoever you want with social media. Between Facebook, TikTok, etc., we have so many ways to keep up with those we went to school with. The need for these reunions is evaporating quickly.

So tell me, is your alma matter doing reunions? I'd be curious to see if these are events that still happen.

Google Answers the Top 10 Questions About Amarillo

I love Google. It can literally answer ANYTHING you need it to answer. Whether it's right or wrong is a totally different question.

Recently, I found myself wondering about something and went to Google. And that's when I started noticing the "people also asked..." section and BOY...Some of them made perfect sense, some of them were interesting, and one of them was downright baffling...and it was a top 10 question which is even more absurd.

So let's see what we've got. Here's the top 10 questions as asked to Google about Amarillo.

Say You're From Amarillo Without Saying You're From Amarillo

Amarillo is a pretty quirky place. We've got the Big Texan, the weird signs, and (obviously) the famed Cadillac Ranch. But more than that, there's a distinct culture of close-knit community, eccentrics, a thriving arts scene, and much more.

The point is, living in Amarillo is a unique experience. Because of that, it's really pretty easy to tell who's a native or a long-time resident. And I can prove it.

Here's a couple of ways you can say you're from Amarillo.....without saying you're from Amarillo.
