No one can take down Joan Rivers, not even big time American conglomerate Costco. Recently, the company refused to sell the 79-year-old comedienne’s book. So what did she do? Naturally, she stuck it to them!

The refusal to sell her newest New York Times best seller ‘I Hate Everyone…Starting With Me’ obviously struck a chord. Therefore, being the acerbic woman we’ve grown to love, she opted to head over to the Costco in Burbank, CA, with copies of her book. Once there she signed and took pictures and played the part of the social butterfly beautifully.

In the report by ABC7, Joan said, ‘This is very frightening and is truly about the First Amendment. This is America and I don’t want to see censorship.”

Perhaps the reason for not selling the book — Joan believes — is because of the humorous and fictional quotes on the back, which contain profanity from the likes of Marie Antoinette and Wilt Chamberlain.

Rivers joked, “This is a store that sells 300 rolls of toilet paper…and I say any costumer that buys 300 rolls of toilet paper deserves a funny book to sit on the toilet and read.”

Watch Joan in action at the protest below. All hail Joan Rivers!
