He might be most well-known for tunes such as “Brokenheartsville” and “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” but on his newest album, Joe Nichols has released a twangy, countrifed cover of Sir Mix-a-Lot's iconic ‘90s hit “Baby Got Back.” Nichols' video for the song, which readers can watch above, also includes a cameo by Sir Mix-a-Lot himself.

Nichols has been known to perform Sir Mix-a-Lot’s anthem to big booty in his live sets, complete with a Western swing retooling and classic country slowdown. It’s unclear how the rapper and Nichols linked up, but the "Baby Got Back" video features Sir Mix-a-Lot seeking cover bands to take on “Baby Got Back,” and Nichols and his crew quickly emerge as the strongest contender, as evidenced by plenty of approving nods from the rapper and producer.

The hilarious music video comes on the heels of Nichols’ latest album, Never Get Old, which was released in late July. “Baby Got Back” appears on the album, complete with a cameo from comedian Darren Knight, known to millions of Facebook users as “Southern Momma.”

Despite the inclusion of a classic rap track, Nichols' Never Gets Old album has a decidedly classic country bent.

“I tried to round this album out with what my first album was like — traditional country, what got me started, what I love, what I’m passionate about,” said Nichols ahead of the record's release. “I think it finished out well. I’m really proud of how country the label allowed me to be.”
