Josh Abbott pulls out all of the warm-and-fuzzy stops in the song he wrote for his new wife, Taylor Parnell. Readers can press play above to watch a highlight video from the couple's wedding, set against a clip of the gentle acoustic accompaniment of Abbott's love song. The video goes on to capture some of the toasts throughout the evening and other special moments.

Abbott played the song, appropriately titled "Taylor Made for Me," at the wedding reception, moving his bride and most of their guest to tears in the happy moment. The couple wed on July 8 in Austin, Texas, in front of a collection of 250 family members and friends.

“I wanted to write Taylor a song for this week and for this event, this awesome life moment we get to share with all of you,” Abbott says in the video. “And I wrote the first verse a few days ago. I wrote the rest of it this morning. And that’s how I think it needed to be.”

The couple met in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and fell in love in July two years ago. Abbott proposed to Parnell with a little help from their baby girl, Emery, in July of 2017. Emery also played a role in the couple's wedding as one of the flower girls, and you can catch glimpses of her in the video above.

The Josh Abbott Band's most recent release is the 2017 studio album Until My Voice Goes Out. It includes "Girl Down in Texas" and was heavily shaped by the death of Abbott's father in March of 2017.
