Kelsea Ballerini is among the performers scheduled for the 2019 People's Choice Awards. E! announced Ballerini and pop / R&B singer Alessia Cara as performers for the annual awards show on Wednesday (Nov. 6). The 2019 People's Choice Awards will air on E! on Sunday (Nov. 10), and Ballerini is among the Country Artist of 2019 nominees, along with Carrie UnderwoodKane BrownMaren MorrisLuke Combs and others. -- AS

Vince Gill and a handful of country songwriters have been nominated to the Songwriters Hall of Fame's Class of 2020. According to Music Row, Gill as well as "I'm No Stranger to the Rain" tunesmith Sonny Curtis, "Gone Country" writer Bob McDill and the songwriting team of Kye Fleming and Dennis Morgan are among the two dozen potential Class of 2020 inductees. Voting for the honor will conclude in mid-December, and the chosen 2020 Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees will officially join the organization during a June ceremony in New York City. -- AS

Jade Bird, Yola, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and more Americana artists have been nominated for the 2020 UK Americana Awards, set for Jan. 30 in London, England. Yola and Bird are up for UK Artist of the Year, while Nelson & Promise of the Real are nominated in the International Song of the Year category. Supergroup the Highwomen are in the running for International Album of the Year, and Brandi Carlile, the Dead South, Larkin Poe and Mavis Staples are all nominated for International Artist of the Year.
