Little Big Town Go Dark for ‘When Someone Stops Loving You’ Video
Little Big Town head to the hills in their "When Someone Stops Loving You" music video.
The group match the melancholy song with an earnest video from a vast, abandoned landscape overlooking monstrous cliffs. Each of the four band members stroll across the blackened hills, all dressed in black ensembles as if they're in mourning, as they sing the lyrics about heartbreak: "When someone stops loving you / It don't make the evening news / It don't keep the sun from rising / The clock from winding, your heart from beating / Even when you want it to / When someone stops loving you."
The singers remain separated for the video, walking along their own paths over rocky trails and wooded forests before meeting amongst the trees, with Karen Fairchild donning a lovely black lace dress and Kimberly Schlapman in a similarly extravagant gown.
"When Someone Stops Loving You" is featured on the group's 2017 album, The Breaker, which shot to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and No. 4 on the all-genre Billboard 200 after its release. The group scored their seventh win for Vocal Group of the Year at the 2017 CMA Awards. "We're so grateful to be a part of this amazing genre of country music," Phillip Sweet said upon winning the award. They also accepted the accolade for Song of the Year for "Better Man" on behalf of the songwriter, Taylor Swift.
The quartet participated in the Country Rising benefit concert in Nashville on Sunday (Nov. 12) to help raise money for the victims of Hurricane Irma, Harvey and Maria, along with those affected by the tragic mass shooting in Las Vegas at Route 91 Harvest Festival.
