A Michigan teen is being called a hero after he lifts a 2,000 pound car off of his grandfather.

A Michigan teenager Austin Smith and his grandfather were fixing an old Buick inside of the grandfathers garage when the unexpected happened.

Austin sat in the drivers seat to pump the brake while the grandfather was underneath the front of the car. Austin said as soon as he sat in the car he noticed something was wrong when the Buick starting swaying back and forth, he then exited the car and that's when it fell on top of his grandfather.

Austin immediately ran to the front of the car to help his grandfather, his first instinct was to try and lift the more than 2,000 pound car, and he did. Austin was able to pick up the car just enough for his grandfather to escape from underneath. His grandfather suffered a severe cut on his face, a fractured eye socket and fractured ribs. Austin said this accident has brought him closer to his grandfather.
