Mystery Movies On The Lawn Comes to Canyon
One of my favorite things to do is get out in the evenings. There's no shortage of things to do and If you're looking for something a little bit different than the usual concert how about a movie?
The Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is kicking off it's Mystery Movies on the Lawn series down in Canyon. The weekly event starts at 8:30 and and runs through 11 pm. The museum wont say what movies it's screening but it does plan on offering clues through it's social media channels on what the movie could be.
The movies on the lawn theme works out pretty well, being out in the open is certainly nicer than being crammed into a theatre with sticky floors. Who doesn't like a little fresh air now and then especially with a flick? Forget the high priced stale popcorn too, the folks at the Panhandle-Plains also mention a few free concessions although candy and other merch is also available.
Since it is free expect a good crowd to show up and getting out there early might just be the key to getting a good spot. The event takes place on the east lawn of the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum and you will need to bring your own blanket or lawn chairs. While masks are requested they aren't required either. You can find out more about the mystery movie series which starts Friday June 18th, minus the show titles, by checking out the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum website or Facebook page.
