Popular Amarillo Pizza Shop Turns Off The Ovens For Good

As of Tuesday, the doors are closed and locked at Pizza 9, near the the intersection of 34th Avenue and Georgia. A Facebook user, who identifies themselves as a manager at Pizza 9 Amarillo, confirmed online that the location is closed and the local owners are looking to sell the eatery. The Pizza 9 corporate website has also removed mention of the Amarillo franchise.

The first Pizza 9 was opened just down the road in Albuquerque, NM in 2008 and the chain has expanded to Texas and Oklahoma. They specialize in Chicago-style pizza, sandwiches, pasta, soups, and salads.
