Ricky Skaggs is readying the release of his latest bluegrass project, ‘Music to My Ears,’ which is scheduled to hit stores on Tuesday, September 25. The album will contain 11 all-new tracks that will not only please his loyal bluegrass fans, but his more country followers, as well.

Skaggs co-produced ‘Music to My Ears’ with the help of Grammy Award-winning songwriter Gordon Kennedy, who is known for penning some of music’s biggest hits — like Eric Clapton’s ‘Change the World.’

“This album is ‘Music to My Ears,’ and I hope to yours, as well,” says Skaggs. “We’ve flavored it with all of my favorite sounds, and I’m excited to have teamed up with some of the best musicians in the business to create this new record.”

In addition to the new tracks on ‘Music to My Ears,’ fans will be able to enjoy Skaggs’ fresh take on some of bluegrass music’s most popular standards, as well as the collaboration with Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees on ‘Soldier’s Son.’

Next up for Ricky Skaggs is his inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame on Aug. 14 before he picks up the Pioneer Award from the Academy of Country Music on Sept. 24. ‘Music to My Ears’ is available now for pre-ordering through Skaggs’ official website.
