There are some really great times of the year. I really love the start of football season, the time of year where everything is pumpkin AND Hatch Chili Season!

I love everything about Hatch Chili Season....and I love going to Market Street to get my fix. You get to choose whether you want mild or hot. I tend to buy a few bags of each and mix them together. I buy enough to last me until the next season.

I can tell it is about that time of year because I am down to my last bag in my freezer. I count on United to keep me supplied.

I got excited when I saw my United flyer in the mail and saw the tease about it coming soon.....so I had to reach out to Matt Edwards, GM, of Market Street United to find out more.

This year's "Hatch Chili Fest" will kick off in August. All United Store locations will have a special roasting event from 10 am until 5 pm on both Saturday and Sundays. You can pick up a quart bag ($5), half a case ($16.99) or even a case ($19.99), if you use that much. If you don't want to get them roasted for you....they have the un-roasted available in the store too.

Not only do they roast the chili's for you during that time....but they are all about the Hatch Green Chili. They provide great recipe's throughout the store and unique items as well. If you have not tried the Hatch Green Chili Cornbread yet....well you should! You just should!

Last year I tried the Hatch red and white wine too. I mean I just had to! This year I am excited to try some Hatch guacamole. Yum! Maybe some Hatch Green Chile  enchiladas or meatloaf. The options are just endless.

I'm dreaming of a Hatch Green Chile August. Even if you are health conscious they have options too. Like the Hatch Chile Smoked Salmon, Texas Tumbled Hatch Chile Chicken Breast, or the Fire Roasted Hatch and Jack Turkey Burgers. There really is something for everyone.

It's almost that most wonderful time of the year.....everything Hatch Green Chili.....that should last me until it is pumpkin season!
