Road Trip? Here's The Things You See Between Amarillo & Denver

Over Thanksgiving, my family and I made a run to Denver to spend the holiday with family and friends.

It was the first time I'd made the road trip to Denver from Amarillo.

Most of the time, my trips to Denver consisted of taking I-70 or I-25 for the majority of the drive. This time though, my wife took us up the US-287 route to avoid some traffic.

As we made the drive to Denver, I looked out the window as we drove and saw some interesting things. I figured on the way back, I'd take some pictures and show you what you can expect to see on the journey.

I'm always down for a good brain challenge. This one however got the best of me.

It's always a fun time looking up address or cities and seeing them from a satellite point of view. You start pointing out landmarks and things you recognize.

One thing you don't account for however is something looking bigger or smaller than you seemed to think it was. So we started grabbing a bunch of these satellite pictures of cities and towns around Amarillo.

As we looked at them, we thought to ourselves, "how fun would this be to actually have to GUESS what these places are?". So away we went.
