Here is a totally random story out of nowhere. A cat in Kingsville, who apparently has nine lives had been sitting at the top of a power pole which was estimated to about 30 feet FOR TWO DAYS! Candice Ariella of Kingsville made a phone call to the police department in which she was told that there was nothing that they could do about it.  A concerned Candice then took to Facebook Tuesday night to draw attention to the orange cat she saw stuck atop a pole. Social Media came to the rescue(SEE VIDEO BELOW)

In a story covered by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, Kingsville City Commissioner Ana Marie Torres came to the rescue. She spoke to City Manager Mark McLaughlin about what could be done and rescue was attempted this morning.  A lift was used and as the lift approached the pole the cat grew increasingly nervous. Just before the rescue took place the cat leaped off of the 30-foot pole and ran across the street creating a little bit of panic for the onlookers.
