The idea of having a major job fair event with folks gathering in one area is out of the question right now during the pandemic. However, there are many companies that are looking to hire and ready to interview you right now. Coming up on Tuesday, October 13, Workforce Solutions Panhandle will be holding a Virtual Amarillo Job Fair from 8am to 12noon.

During the virtual event, there will be employers ready to conduct interviews from all over the Texas panhandle. But just like any job fair, you want to make sure you are prepared. Remember, even though it is virtual, you still want to dress for the occasion and put your best foot forward. That means you have to wear pants even if they are seen on camera haha.

Categories of businesses that will be interviewing include: Accommodations, Accounting, Advertising, Aerospace, Agriculture & Agribusiness, Air Transportation, Apparel & Accessories, Auto, Banking, Beauty & Cosmetics, Biotechnology, Chemical, Communications, Computer, Construction, Consulting, Consumer Products, Education, Electronics, Employment, Energy, Entertainment & Recreation, Financial Services, Fine Arts, Food & Beverage, Green Technology, Health, Information, Information Technology, Insurance, Journalism & News, Legal Services, Manufacturing, Media & Broadcasting, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, Public Administration, Public Relations, Publishing, Real Estate, Retail, Service, Sports, Technology, Telecommunications, Transportation, Utilities, Web Services, and others.

Before the fair, you want to make sure you are prepared. Workforce Solutions Panhandle has virtual workshops that are available to help you write a great resume, find out what it means to be "job ready," and even get inside information about what employers are looking for. You can sign up for the workshops by clicking here.
