Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle has resettled around 25 refugee families in 2019 so far. The organization's goal to help 100 families by September.

With this goal, comes great needs. Catholic Charities is in desperate need of volunteers. You may be wanding how you could. The fact is we all have something to give to these families, they are coming from all over the world to start a new and better life in Amarillo.

If we can mentor families and help them integrate into our city easier, it will be better for the entire community.

A mentor can help with things we take for granted like what a light switch is and what it does, even things like what you can do with an oven.

Not to mention helping with their ESL classes. These classes are held to help families learn English quickly so they can communicate, find employment, and feel more at home.

If you would like to make a difference in these families lives you can call Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle directly at (806) 376-4571.
