Waco’s ‘Dr. Pepper House’ is Now an AirBnb and You Can Stay The Night
If you are like me and a big fan of Dr. Pepper, then you might want to stay in the "Dr. Pepper House" in Waco.
According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Wade Morrison is credited in 1885 with putting together the 23 mystery flavors that make up Dr. Pepper, and the same year built the famed "Dr. Pepper House."
The house was renovated in the early 2000's and has been operating as an AirBnb since the beginning of this year after it went up for sale last September.
Jed Cole is the owner of the AirBnb and has enjoyed the influx of people and groups that have stayed at their house.
He doesn't believe people are necessarily staying because it is the "Dr. Pepper House" initially but he thinks it may be the reason why they come back.
"I love meeting all these people, it's really fun, and it's a fun way to get to represent Waco well," said Cole. "We hope that people leave with a good taste in their mouth about what our town has to offer and what kind of people live here."
The cost of staying is $1,000 to $2,500 per night depending on availability according to Cole.
It is in a great location close to downtown Waco, the Magnolia Silos, and a wide variety of restaurants.
The other things you can expect if you stay is a game room, along with a huge backyard with a spectacular pool, hot tub, and cabana.
For the Dr. Pepper fanatic, yes, they have Dr. Pepper and it is free of charge while you enjoy your stay.
Count me in once I find an extra $1,000 to spend the night.
