I don't want to go Bob Dylan with the "times they are a changing" but that is exactly what is going on today. at just a hair before 11 here in the central time zone we got to see the 46th President of these United States sworn in. This isn't one of those Joe was right or Donald was right posts. or a claim to who is really president. I think we're all tired of those. I know I'm tired of seeing it on my social media as well

There was something that President Biden said in his speech to the American People this morning...

"And so today, at this time, in this place, let's start afresh, all of us. Let's begin to listen to one another again.

Hear one another. See one another. Show respect to one another. Politics doesn't have to be a raging fire, destroying everything in its path. Every disagreement doesn't have to be a cause for total war. And we must reject the culture in which facts themselves are manipulated, and even manufactured."

I'm with you Mr. President.

How do we start fresh? I think that is THE fundamental question on the minds of most Americans today. We're in the middle of what may be the worst pandemic of the 21st Century, (Yes, I know we still have 80 years left in this century) with job losses that have been truly devastating. and honestly we are at a point where civil discourse is simply a dream. People have their minds pretty well set and the mentality of if you're not with me you're against me has truly become the standard.

Yet, I still have hope. The thing for me is not who is in office but how we move forward. How do we start to reach out even if it's uncomfortable.

Normal will come... we have to want it.
