Palace is shutting their business down completely, just their downtown location.

According to a post on their Facebook Page:

It's with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our Downtown Amarillo location. Nearly a decade ago, we embarked on a journey to enrich Downtown Amarillo with our passion for kindness and great coffee, serving countless guests and creating cherished memories.
Throughout the years, we've embraced innovation and community needs, from introducing a brunch program to embarking on our coffee roasting journey right in the heart of Downtown. The addition of our bakery was another step in our commitment to providing the highest quality experience for our customers. With the opening of our Wolflin location, we were able to expand our roasting operations significantly. Now, as part of our ongoing evolution, we will be moving our bakery and all training operations to the Wolflin space, establishing it as the Palace Coffee HQ.
This decision comes after much deliberation and an earnest desire to concentrate our efforts and resources where we can make the most impact. Our Downtown location has been more than just a coffee shop; it's been a cornerstone of community and camaraderie. While we will miss this incredible space, we are hopeful that our Downtown regulars will continue to support us at our Wolflin location, where we promise to keep serving great coffee with the same warmth and kindness.
March 29th will mark our last day in Downtown Amarillo. We invite you to visit us before then for a final cup and to reminisce about the journey we've shared. This is not just a farewell; it's an invitation to join us as we embark on the next chapter of our story, bringing with it the same commitment to quality, community, and kindness that you've come to expect from us. Thank you for your unwavering support and for being such an integral part of our story. Here's to new beginnings and continued adventures together.

Many a business meeting has taken place at Palace Coffee Downtown, it was the perfect place to grab a drink during the parades down Polk Street or before you toured all the murals.  It was a great place to meet friends.  Those who work downtown will feel the loss of not having Palace Coffee Company down the block, around the corner, or across the street.

The Downtown Amarillo location is the only location closing.  The other Palace locations will remain open including, Canyon on the Canyon Square, Wolflin Location HQ at Wolflin and Georgia, and 34th and Coulter in the Summit Shopping Center.
