2016 Billboard Music Awards Country Winners
Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton and Thomas Rhett were the big country winners at Sunday night's (May 22) 2016 Billboard Music Awards.
Bryan took home the Top Country Artist title, Chris Stapleton walked away with Top Country Album, and Thomas Rhett — who was the only artist there in person to accept his award — finished the genre's honors with Top Country Song.
“This is incredible,” Rhett said while accepting his honor. “Never in a million years did I think that being a songwriter sitting on a bus writing a song about who we love would win an award like this.”
The top prize of the night, the Billboard Chart Achievement Award, was granted to R&B artist Rihanna. A list with all of the night's big winners across all genres can be found on Billboard‘s website.
