7 Marines Dead After Mid-Air Helicopter Training Session Went Wrong!

Wednesday night 7 Marines are dead after a routine training session in California.

A crash between a UH-1Y Helicopter and an AH-1W on Wednesday night left seven marines dead. The mid-air crash happened on the California-Arizona border in the Chocolate Mountains on Wednesday night.

Six of the Marines were from Camp Pendleton in California, the one other was from Yuma. The soldiers were all preparing to be deployed to Afghanistan. The crash occurred on Wednesday night during routine training operations.

The names of the soldiers have not been released until the family member have been notified and until the investigation is complete. Military officials cannot comment on what and how the training accident happened until the investigation is complete.
