For several years Cody Johnson has been one of Texas' biggest stars. An established artist, in his own right, this year he is knocking on the door of national stardom on the back of his No. 1 album Ain't Nothin' To It, and a certifiable radio smash "On My Way To You."

Earlier this year over 70,000 people came to watch him perform at NRG Stadium during Rodeo Houston. This summer he'll travel to Foxborough, MA, to play Gillette Stadium with George Strait.

"I didnt want to write a song to her, per say," Johnson told us. "I just tried to write a song that made me feel good. But instead of thinking about my wife, and that kind of love, I just thought about my daughter. I started playing this song riding down the road to no miss home so much and the more and more I've played, it just feels good."

But you do remember when CoJo debuted "I Know My Way Back" with us on Radio Texas, LIVE!, right? For this weeks Distant Replay we're taking a trip back to May 2015 -- to the day he sang the song he wrote for his baby daughter for the first time on the radio.
